Zero Motorcycles Hires Scot Harden

Off-road racing legend joins electric motorcycle maker

苏格兰人Harden has joined Zero Motorcycles as the electric motorcycle manufacturer’s vice president of global marketing.

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer has over 40 years of experience in the industry, first as an off-road racer, and later as an executive.

Harden served asKTM’s vice president of marketing and communications for over 20 years, helping develop the KTM Sportmini line. More recently, Harden served as national marketing director and race team manager forBMW/Husqvarna, playing a vital role in Husqvarna’s re-emergence in the U.S. market.

“Scot is a seasoned veteran, whose experience, management style and innovative thinking will help us to achieve new levels of brand awareness and market acceptance while complementing our existing efforts,” says Gene Banman, chief executive officer of Zero Motorcycles. “He is an excellent addition to our management team and we are looking forward to working with Scot in his new capacity at Zero Motorcycles.”

Hiring a man with a resume like Harden’s is a real coup for Santa Cruz, Calif., based Zero Motorcycles. Harden is a highly regarded executive in the motorcycle industry from his years, helping to establish the KTM and Husqvarna brands. Zero Motorcycles is hoping he’ll be able to do the same with the electric motorcycle maker.

“I couldn’t be more excited or more invigorated by the opportunities that lie ahead for Zero,” said Harden. “We have a real chance to transform the industry and I’m looking forward to working with the team at Zero to implement their vision and to see the change that it will bring.”
