"This Firebolt is incredible. It's our first weekend out on it andwhen we get it sorted out, it's going to be really tough for anyone tobeat us," said Ciccotto. "We had to run DOTs in the racebecause we didn't have a good set up for slicks yet...

"It was a good day for Buell. The new Firebolt finished second withstreet tires and a tail light and the proven X-1 was right behind inthird," said Erik Buell, chairman and chief technical officer ofBuell Motorcycle Company.

Former Australian Superbike Champion Kirk McCarthy took first placeaboard a Ducati 748RS, while Buell rider Michael Barnes aboard his KoscoHarley-Davidson/Buell - Innovative Motorcycle Research sponsoredLightning X1 took third.
